Here's what makes the Mountain Area Pregnancy Center special!
Most women, when faced with the anxiety of an unplanned pregnancy, tell a friend first. Even before revealing the news to the father of the child or a parent, women tend to confide in a trusted female friend.
Perhaps you are considering confiding in a school nurse or counselor, a public health nurse or a counselor at a Planned Parenthood clinic.
Please consider choosing the relationships and resource available to you at the Mountain Area Pregnancy Center. Here's why:
- Women who visit MAPC find ALL the complete and accurate information they need to make an informed decision about your pregnancy. You have the right to know all the facts.
- You are not a paying client. Our services are free. We do not make money based on your decisions.
- We care. That sounds trite in the era of marketing cliches, but you'll see what we mean. Your peer counselor is just that: a peer ----A woman just like you who has probably experienced an unplanned pregnancy herself. The staff and volunteers at MAPC are willing to help you in many practical ways, as well as emotionally and spiritually throughout your pregnancy and afterwards. We can even match you up with one of our volunteer mentors.
If you would like to make an appointment to visit our center or to find out more about other pregnancy centers inyour area, please email us. For your protection, we strongly discourage you from sharing personal details aboutyour situation over the Internet. When you visit this or another pregnancy center, a peer counselor will be availableto personally discuss your situation in a confidential setting.
In granting us permission to reply to your email, please consider the confidentiality of any reply that you may receive. If you are giving us permission to make a phone call, will there by anyone else who may be present to receive the phone call? Does anyone else have access to your email? If there are special confidentiality concerns we need to be aware of in responding, please spell them out so we may be sensitive to your needs.
